The broad street killer

We are reading a book called ''the broad street killer."
It is a story about a disease  called  "cholera", cholera is a disease spread by water contaminated by sewage waste, London's authorities thought it was because  of the foul smell London  had.
Doctor snow the one who discovered that it was from the sewage waste  he told the authorities  but they didn't  listen to him he needed to find more evidence . Henry whitehead  set out to discover snows theory. Henry  went to the houses  with a pump nearby them and talked to them  a mother had a baby ,
 and washed  the babies nappy with  water  and tipped it into the sewer then she went to get a drink of water  for the baby and lately the baby had passed away.Henry looked at the pump that went under ground , and saw a crack in pipes  that is how they found out that, that was the problem the authorities  didn't think so   just to be safe the took of the handle to the pump.
